Dr. Maria Kim, a native of Argentina, has embraced the vibrant spirit of New York City throughout her life. She graduated from the prestigious Bronx High School of Science and earned both her undergraduate and dental degrees from New York University. Dr. Kim further honed her skills during her general dentistry residency at Jamaica Hospital.
During her time at NYU College of Dentistry, Dr. Kim distinguished herself, gaining acceptance into the Oral Surgery Honors program. This experience exposed her to advanced surgical cases and involved participation in complex trauma and reconstruction surgeries in the operating room. Driven by her passion for community service, travel, and diverse cultures, she actively contributed to dental outreaches in remote areas of Tanzania, India, and Nicaragua.
As a practitioner, Dr. Kim places great importance on the human connection in patient care. While addressing the root cause of dental issues is crucial, she firmly believes that establishing trust and meaningful connections with her patients leads to the most optimal results.
Outside her professional life, Dr. Kim is an avid reader and runner. In between training for marathons, she enjoys exploring the wonders and great restaurants of New York City alongside her husband and two children.
