About the Course

Course Contents

Course Description

White spot lesions present a complex challenge for both patients and clinicians. It can be especially frustrating for patients to complete orthodontic treatment only to be left with aesthetic concerns such as white or dark enamel opacities. Fortunately, there are minimally invasive and comfortable treatment approaches available to address these issues.

This course will introduce an updated clinical workflow that incorporates transillumination with resin infiltration techniques. This step-by-step approach helps improve diagnosis and treatment outcomes, providing effective and immediate esthetic improvement. The use of adjunctive whitening agents may also enhance results by reducing the appearance of darker discolorations without the need for anesthesia or restorative intervention. Dr. Auster will share clinical insights and case examples demonstrating successful outcomes with these techniques.

Learning Objectives

  • Learn a practical approach to managing white spot lesions across a range of cases
  • Understand how transillumination can guide treatment selection and improve predictability
  • Explore the use of Carbamide Bleaching Gel to address dark or discolored enamel opacities, including fluorosis and related conditions
