Course Description

The course will cover ergonomics related to patient seating and operator positioning for doctors, assistants, and hygienists. It will also address the effective use of dental lighting and the integration of delivery units to enhance operatory efficiency. In addition, the course will explore the next frontier of connected products within the dental office.

Learning Objectives

  • Identify optimal patient positioning techniques, including the use of a double-articulating headrest, to improve access to the oral cavity
  • Explain how proper patient positioning supports clinical efficiency and team coordination
  • Demonstrate an understanding of ergonomic concepts that promote balanced, neutral working positions
  • Define operatory connectivity and discuss its role in improving workflow, communication, and cost efficiency of dental equipment

Meet the Instructor

Jeff Price, Territory Manager, A-dec

Jeff Price is an A-dec Territory Manager covering the state of Arizona. He has been with A-dec for 24 years and has represented Dental Equipment for 32 years. Prior to his entry into the Dental Industry, Jeff worked in the Accounting and Finance space.  He spent 3 of those years working for Deloitte where he carried his CPA.   This experience has helped him consult with dental teams regarding smart investments in equipment and technology.  Investments that bring significant tax savings, but more importantly, these investments bring a higher level of patient care and stronger office productivity.  Finally, Jeff was trained by The Back School (Atlanta, GA.) where he earned the designation of a Certified Ergonomic Assessment Specialist (CEAS).

Jeff is married to Donna (28 years) and has two grown boys (Zach and Jason).  He enjoys travel, golf, mountain biking, and active life within his church.
