Course Description

For many dentists, composite veneers carry a reputation earned in an earlier era: tedious and time-consuming freehand sculpting, unpredictable outcomes, and a procedure only the most patient and artistically inclined providers choose to execute. That reputation is outdated.

This course reframes composite veneers as an efficient, predictable, and esthetic treatment option - a procedure you’ll be glad to see on your schedule rather than dread. Attendees will learn a complete, technology-driven workflow that takes this additive procedure from an unpredictable freehand exercise to a guided, repeatable clinical protocol that appeals to both doctors and patients.

Participants will walk through the full patient journey: record-taking and consultation strategies that help set expectations, digital smile design principles that translate directly to a chairside outcome, and the placement techniques that make it all possible. The course will also cover contemporary composite material selection for strength, esthetics, and polishability, along with practical tips and case selection strategies gathered from real-world practice.

By the end of this course, attendees will have a clear, actionable framework for incorporating composite veneers into their practice with greater confidence and efficiency while reducing chair time and design uncertainty.

Learning Objectives

  • Outline an efficient and effective case selection, record-taking, and consultation protocol that sets appropriate patient expectations for composite veneer treatment
  • Explain the role of digital smile design in translating a treatment plan into a predictable, guided chairside outcome
  • Describe a chairside composite veneer technique using a pre-designed digital matrix and compare alternative systems and approaches
  • Select composite materials appropriate for veneer cases based on physical properties, strength, esthetics, and polishability
