Dr. Chad Wagener welcomes the aesthetic challenges that are associated with complex treatment plans. He believes in using composite materials to provide a more conservative, artistic approach to restoring and repairing the natural dentition.
Dr. Wagener believes in a reputation for excellence. He grew up in Iowa and has maintained a private practice in his home town of Ankeny since 1990.
Dr. Wagener’s treatment philosophy embraces the idea of offering comprehensive dentistry with conservative treatment options. Dr. Wagener believes in taking a proactive approach to treating his patients with caries and periodontal concerns. He believes in identifying and treating the disease process rather than solely treating the damage done by the disease. Dr. Wagener utilizes laser therapy and implant restorative options to offer the least invasive and most predictable and long term treatment options for his patients.
Dr. Wagener graduated from the University of Iowa – College of Dentistry in 1990. Dr. Wagener is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry and the Academy of Laser Dentistry. He achieved his laser training in Germany in 2003. Dr. Wagener has lectured on “Lasers in Dentistry” at the Des Moines Area Community College, University of Iowa and the Southwest District Meeting. He enjoys sharing his knowledge today as adjunct instructor in the operative department at the University of Iowa.
Dr. Wagener’s practice, Ankeny Aesthetic Dentistry, combines art and technology to create beautiful smiles every day!
