Growth and Development Through the Eyes of a Pediatric Dentist: Feed, Speak, Breathe, Smile   NEW!

Baby teeth matter. But it is also important to understand that screening, identifying and treating underlying feeding, speech, and airway issues early reduce adult comorbidities due to these issues. In this 3 hour session, we will take a deep dive into how our routine dental visit becomes not so routine anymore as we look at the whole child (and future whole adult) and the role we play as dentists in helping kids thrive.

Learning Objectives:
  • Discuss the dentist's role in the pre-orthodontic phase
  • Discuss the holistic evaluation of a child beyond the teeth in growth and development
  • Provide a toolkit for the dental team evaluation and treatment of the growing child
