Re-Thinking Oral Rehabilitation: Successful Treatment of Edentulism with a Digitally Driven Twist  NEW!

As the largest portion of our population ages, the demand for full mouth rehabilitation is expected to grow rapidly and significantly. Many patients may be unable or unwilling to undergo the expense and length treatment involved for full arch fixed reconstruction. Conventional and Implant Overdentures are an important option for the treatment of the edentulous arch. The problem is, most dentists do not feel confident or competent providing this treatment. When fabricated and fitted properly, they can greatly enhance the quality of life in both form and function for our patients.

This course will review a detailed, step-by-step protocol for effective and practical conventional denture and implant overdenture treatment. Innovative digital denture techniques for faster and more accurate outcomes will be presented. Attendees will learn how to evaluate and treat patients more safely with fewer complications. There will be a hands-on component utilizing implants in a mandibular model.

Educational Objectives:
  • Understand the clinical steps restoring with conventional and implant overdentures
  • Become comfortable, confident and competent with case selection, treatment planning of conventional and implant removable prosthetics
  • Apply simplified and accurate denture protocols in fewer visits using traditional chairside techniques and digital technology
  • Learn the entire process of locator attachments, denture fabrication and maintenance
  • Hands-on: Perform pick-up of locator housings and retention caps on your own denture model

Prep and Impress for Success  NEW!

Whether you are a new dentist or have been in practice for many years, you are assured to pick up some valuable pearls from this hands-on course that you will be able to incorporate with confidence. Preparation design and impressions are vital factors for the success of both single tooth and full arch cases. This course takes an in depth look at the importance of precision in creating well designed tooth preparations, along with accurate analog and digital impression techniques for a predictable and repeatable workflow. After all, any case is only as good as the prep and impression it starts with!

Educational Objectives:
  • Review characteristics of “Ideal Preparations”
  • Describe an efficient  and effective crown preparation technique that can be performed with consistent success
  • The importance of precision in creating ideal crown and bridge restorations
  • Why proper preparation is critical to a successful outcome and longevity of restorations

  • Hands-on: Prepare teeth and obtain both an analog and digital impression

Intro to All-on-4® Concept  NEW!

It has become a realistic goal and expectation of patients to never have to go without teeth at any time during their lifetime. The ability to provide patients with a full arch immediate restoration at the time of multiple extractions is a predictable and successful option. The All-on-4® treatment concept provides predictable rehabilitation of fully edentulous or soon-to-be edentulous patients with 2 tilted implants in the posterior region and 2 straight implants in the anterior region in either the maxilla or mandible. This procedure was developed to restore patients with a fixed esthetic and functional prosthesis in just one day and helps avoid more complex surgeries such as grafting procedures.

Educational Objectives:
  • Understanding the All-on-4® treatment concept
  • Establish a foundation to complete a successful case of All-on-4® treatment
  • History of the All-on-4® treatment
  • Explain the necessity for proper Treatment Planning
  • Identify the Importance of bone resorption
  • Identify the patient eligible for All-on-4® treatment
  • Define implant positions for ideal results
  • Understand Surgical and Prosthetic challenges
  • Review of potential complications
  • Review post-op protocol and recare
