COURSE SUMMARY

With more than 30 years of regular use in dentistry, composites have revealed some inherent characteristics that have affected outcome success. The most substantiated concerns with resin restorations include micro-leakage, strength and recurrent decay. But tissue response, polish stability, and bioactivity are all qualities that should be considered in any restorative material. In this 1-hour webinar, Dr. Jeff Horowitz will explore a new approach to resin technology that addresses many of the recognized shortcomings of traditional composites.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

  • Recognize the sources of composite resin failures
  • Understand bioactivity as it relates to dental restorative products
  • Learn about giomer technology and what it means for improving success
