About the Course

Course Contents

Course Description

Who knew that the fastest growing segment of our population is the 70+ crowd! Another fact, more patients than ever in this group have their teeth and with that comes far more challenges in their dental options and treatments. Research has shown caries risk to be greater than 40% and in far more challenging locations and or beneath aging restorations. Options today regarding restorative dentistry for this population can vary widely and include 3 different approaches: definitive, reparative, or patchwork.

Learning Topics

  • Why plaque reducing composites have a definite role in this subset of our patients
  • The options with Silver Diamine Fluoride: Not every patient wants a crown
  • Selective Caries removal: Step by Step approaches
  • We are seeing more and more external resorption: Options for treatment
