Course Description

Many pediatric dentists use composite resin every day in practice. However, very little advanced training in the use of these materials, specifically for pediatric dentists, is available. This course is designed to offer comprehensive, prescriptive instruction on how to confidently place esthetic, long-lasting restorations. Participants will be introduced to new concepts in preparation design, anatomic matrix systems, biofilm removal and the use of headed composite.

Learning Topics

  • Understand how the trifecta of enhanced magnification, biofilm removal and injection molding of heated composite can result in superior anterior and posterior composite restorations for pediatric and adolescent patients
  • Achieve confidence in matrix, wedge and separator selection for modern compression-based Class II restorations. See how anatomical anterior matrices can greatly improve your restorative care
  • Learn the art and science of co-curing multi-viscosity composites (surfactant resin plus heated flowable plus heated paste composite)
  • Learn modern preparation designs for anterior and posterior restorations based on current engineering principles
