Course Description

This 1-hour video, Dr. Mark Malterud introduces doctors and team members to procedures that can be utilized in their offices to treat periodontal disease and to maintain gingival health. Using very intimately fitted customized delivery trays, patients can take their therapies home with them and adjunct what we do daily in our practices.

Meet the instructor

Mark Malterud, DDS

Dr. Malterud practices general and family dentistry where he focuses on comprehensive cosmetic and general dentistry incorporating minimally invasive procedures. He is dedicated to dental education not only as a student but also as an educator.

Dr. Malterud is a 1983 graduate of the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry and practices General and Family dentistry in St. Paul, MN. Dr. Malterud’s practice focuses on comprehensive cosmetic and general dentistry incorporating Minimally Invasive Biomimetic Dental Procedures. He was the Region 10 Trustee for the AGD and is a past President for the Minnesota AGD. He is an adjunct faculty member at The University of Minnesota Continuing Dental Education Department. Dr. Malterud is an active member of the ADA, and it’s state and local components and is active in various local and national dental societies and study club groups. He has trained at the L.D. Pankey Institute, completing their entire continuum on comprehensive dentistry. He has received his AGD Mastership and Life Long Learning and Service Recognition award and currently sits on the AGD Foundation Board. He is a Fellow in the American College of Dentists and the Academy of Dentistry International. His commitment to dental education not only as a teacher, but also as a student, has him personally attending well over 150 hours of dental continuing education each year. Dr. Malterud also consults with various other dental manufacturers on product development and testing and is a proud member of Catapult Education. His passion for dentistry has enabled him to lecture both nationally and internationally.
